Alliance Citoyenne, Grenoble: Residents of Géants Square Join Forces to Demand Better Services

In a proactive move, the Committee of Géants has taken steps to assert its concerns. On Tuesday morning, a group of residents from the Géants Square decided to pay a visit to the local office of their social housing provider, Actis. Their purpose: to hand-deliver a letter to the responsible party, reminding the housing provider of its responsibilities in light of the consistently poor quality of services in the area .

“It’s important to personally deliver this letter; it demonstrates our determination and our desire to secure a meeting to collaboratively find solutions!” shared Stéphanie, a member of the Actis Ensemble syndicate.

This action provided tenants with an opportunity to engage with the property manager, handing over the letter from the residents and expressing the longstanding sense of injustice prevailing in the neighborhood:

“Our walkways and the square are extremely dirty, and no efforts are being made to improve the situation. Moreover, the charges keep increasing, and there is no observable change in Actis’ involvement,” voiced Fatiha, a resident of Géants Square.

The letter will be forwarded to the agency’s responsible party upon her return, with a meeting scheduled at that juncture. This marks a significant initial step for the residents, who pledge to stand firm and unwavering.”
