Following a call from the local branch Onestensemble Bepanda Bonewonda in July 2023, the Mayor of the city swiftly responded to concerns about the large open drains that pose a real danger to pedestrian safety along Republic Boulevard.

In order to address this pressing issue, a technical expert from the Department of Public Works of the City of Douala conducted an assessment on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.

Necessary measures are being prepared to secure the sidewalks and eliminate potential risks for pedestrians. Well done OnEstEnsemble for fighting for the safety of Douala’s citizens!
