The Popular Struggle Coordination Committee (PSCC) has joined ACORN International as its affiliate branch in Palestine West Bank. The PSCC was formed by prominent activists in the popular committees from across Palestine and the political spectrum. These committees represent a unique form of community-based organizing and resistance in the tradition of the first Palestinian Intifada, leading non-partisan community resistance to Israeli settler colonialism through various forms including marches, strikes, demonstrations, direct actions, legal campaigns, and supporting boycott, divestment, and sanctions.
PSCC facilitates communication between different popular committees from villages such as Bil’in, Ni’ilin, and al Maasara—known for their struggle against the wall. They connect communities from the Jordan Valley and South Mount Hebron facing attempts of ethnic cleansing to other communities resisting Israeli conquest, including Tulkarem, Nablus, Qalqilya, and West Ramallah. While providing a wider base for strategic thinking, they maintain each popular committee’s independence and uniqueness in the movement to decolonize Palestine.
