Italy
Since its founding in 2011, ACORN Italy has been a leading force in the fight for tenants’ rights, tackling housing exploitation and advocating for fair rental laws. The organization played a crucial role in securing protections against “black rents,” where landlords forced tenants into illegal, contract-free agreements. Through relentless organizing, legal battles, and national advocacy, ACORN Italy won a historic Supreme Court victory in 2017, solidifying tenant protections and striking a major blow against housing injustice.
Today, ACORN Italy continues to empower renters, challenge exploitative landlords, and push for stronger housing rights, standing as a key part of the global ACORN movement.
