- A Community Voice Celebrates Advocacy & Honors Local Leaders at Annual Awardees Dinner and Christmas Party.A Community Voice hosted their annual Awardees Dinner and Christmas party, where members of the community were honored for the advocacy to advance the causes of the working people of Louisiana. Honorees included Inez Barnes, Diane Adams, Rev. Richard S Bell Sr, and Louisiana State Representative Matthew Willard.
- Building Power: A Community Voice Trains Future Organizers, ACORN Expands to Maryland & Cleveland.In November, A Community Voice hosted a training in partnership with the Claiborne Alliance for Xavier University students, focusing on the importance and practice of community organizing and outreach. Progressive Maryland voted to affiliate with ACORN, and an ACORN Tenants Union has received support to launch in Cleveland!

- A Community Voice and LSU Students Register Voters in Treme After Hurricane FrancineAfter weathering Hurricane Francine early this month, A Community Voice and The Claiborne Avenue Alliance teamed up with dozens of students from Louisiana State University to train and register voters in the historic Treme neighborhood ahead of the upcoming essential presidential election in November. This kind of action shows the next generation the power of people coming together!
