ACORN Honduras continued their tireless advocacy for children’s rights, health, and education this month, hosting an internationally attended conference on children’s rights.
ACORN Honduras continued their tireless advocacy for children’s rights, health, and education this month. Members coordinated the donation and set-up of chairs and desks for a school, as well as planning for an upcoming event highlighting children’s health and wellness.
ACORN Honduras played a major role in an an important town hall for children and young people’s rights that is up for approval in the Central District, and they also participated in the swearing-in ceremony of the Municipal Council for the Defense of Children’s Rights.
In April, ACORN Honduras hosted numerous meeting sessions for their members, alongside training and planning sessions with partner organizations. Their efforts focused on fostering collaboration and growth within the community.

In the framework of the Children’s Rights Council of the Municipio del Distrito Central, children and young people are learning about the steps of political advocacy and the community’s right to make demands to state institutions. A Political Advocacy Workshop is being developed with the goal of equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively advocate for political causes.
